EaseUS Master Partition Magic is the most efficient and easy method to solve disk partition problems. The best solution is to use free partition magic Windows 7. However, is there any partition magic freeware for better disk management? The answer is yes because EaseUS Master Partition Edition is the best and popular which plays an important role in disk management in Windows 7/8/XP/Vista/2000 32 and 64 bit. It performs best & enhanced data protection and disk/partition management ability in the whole process.

EaseUS Master Partition Magic - Manage GPT Partition

Alongside the primary disk partitioning ability, it is also the only one free disk partition management software possesses advanced technology of power-off protection and data disaster recovery, this means you never worry about data loss any longer while executing the partition operations; you should just let your hair down and rest. EaseUS Master Partition Magic is capable of resizing without data loss, and can copy and move partitions, including to other disks. It also has various other features, including being able to convert between FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS, modify the cluster size of FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS filesystems, and merge adjacent FAT or NTFS filesystems (all without data loss, though some NTFS-only metadata, is lost on conversion to FAT). Additionally, it had some limited support for ext2 and ext3 partitions. EaseUS Master Partition Magic was the first commercial product of its kind containing patented technology.

How to Convert MBR to GPT without Data Loss

To converts MBR to GPT you need to right click the target MBR disk and choose the corresponding function. Nevertheless, after right clicking drive, one we will find the function “Convert to GPT” is grayed out. Since this function works only when there is no partition/volume on disk, you have to delete all partitions in advance, thus suffering data loss. So, is there a way to convert MBR to GPT without data loss in Windows 7? The answer is YES, so these are the steps to follow;

First: Install EaseUS partition software and install it according to prompts. Then, launch it to open the the main interface.

Second: Choose the MBR disk and to choose the function “Convert MBR Disk to GPT Disk” from action panel to preview the following effect:

Now from the interface above we see the selected MBR disk has become GPT disk. At this time, please click Apply button to apply changes to computer. After application, we can say we are successful to convert MBR to GPT without data loss in Windows 7. Also, you also want to better manage large-capacity hard disk, employ EaseUS partition software Wizard to convert original MBR disk to GPT disk.

GUID Partition Table GPT

GUID partition table “GPT Disks” is use unified extensible firmware interface (UEFI). The advantage of GPT disks is that you can get more than four partitions on each disk. It is also required for disks larger than two terabytes. GPT brings with many advantages, and it’s the most compatible and is still necessary in some cases. This isn’t a Windows-only standard Mac OS X, Linux, and other operating systems can also use GPT.

GPT stands for GUID Partition Table. It’s a new standard that’s gradually replacing MBR. It’s associated with UEFI replaces the stable old BIOS with something more modern, and GPT replaces the clunky old MBR partitioning system with something more current. It’s called GUID Partition Table because every partition on your drive has a “globally unique identifier,” or GUID – a random string so long that every GPT partition on earth likely has its own unique identifier.

GPT also allows for a nearly unlimited amount of partitions, and the limit here will be your operating system – Windows allows up to 128 partitions on a GPT drive, and you don’t have to create an extended partition. It stores multiple copies of this data across the disk, so it’s much more robust and can recover if the data is corrupted. GPT also stores cyclic redundancy check (CRC) values to check that its data is intact, if the data is corrupted, GPT can notice the problem and attempt to recover the damaged data from another location on the disk.
